Pediatric Chiropractic

It’s easier to raise healthy kids than to fix sickness in adulthood.

Chiropractic care for children is gentle and very little to no force is needed for the adjustment.

Parents often ask, how would I know whether or not my child could benefit from chiropractic care? Often, parents recognize the potential benefit if their child is experiencing pain or discomfort in their body. However, if pain and discomfort are absent it can certainly be a harder question for parents to answer. What we like to ask parents is how is your child FUNCTIONING? Here at Janning Family Chiropractic, we really view health as more than just the absence of pain. Health is the body FUNTIONING at its fullest potential. Health is feeling well, calm, focused, energized, and happy.

Most spinal concerns begin during childhood, and if not addressed can carry over to adulthood.Kids’ spines can experience disturbances which then leads to their body not FUNCTIONING at its best. The typical childhood experience can leave many opportunities for spinal misalignments. Some of these spinal misalignments could be caused from the birthing process, gaining head stability, learning to crawl and walk, and as a child gets older riding/falling off a bike, sport injury, managing weight of a bookbag, or simply slouching in a chair.  When spinal misalignments are not addressed it can cause the body to experience some of the following issues:

  • Acid Reflux
  • Allergies
  • Asthma
  • Attention Difficulties
  • Anxiety
  • Autism
  • Bedwetting
  • Behavioral Concerns
  • Digestive Trouble
  • Constipation
  • Colic
  • Ear Infections
  • Emotional Regulation Difficulties
  • Feeding Concerns
  • Sensory Concerns
  • Weakened Immune System

Chiropractic does not treat the above concerns, but when children are adjusted and the spine is in proper alignment, it can improve symptoms associated with these concerns.
