Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic is the science, art and philosophy of allowing the body to heal itself by removing interference’s (subluxations along the spine) that prevent the nervous system from functioning optimally.

The chiropractic approach differs from conventional medicine which is geared more towards TREATING ILLNESS. Chiropractic focuses wholeheartedly on AVOIDING ILLNESS in the first place, making it more of a preventative approach to health.

Chiropractic can certainly be very helpful in relieving pain, but again the ultimate goal of chiropractic is to RESTORE THE BODY to its natural state of optimal health.

Let’s give you a visual.

Imagine that one of your fingers has a rubber band tightly wrapped around it. The finger begins to hurt, but not too bad. You decide to let it be because it will eventually go away.  You feel a little distracted and bothered from time to time, but it’s doable. Some time goes on, and now there is definite recognized discomfort and you even notice yourself not feeling as calm or content. You decide to take some pain reliever medication to alleviate the discomfort and it works! Yes, problem solved. But you notice the finger is not functioning at its best and it even is turning colors, indicating some problem.  You take more medication in hopes it will get better, but the color is getting darker, and it is completely losing its ability to function. Now what? You have a BRILLIANT idea! I will take this rubber band off! Something amazing happens, the finger begins to health itself. It eventually returns to its typical coloring, has more movement, and is discomfort free.  This is just like chiropractic! We simply remove those things that we call subluxations along the spine which interfere with the body’s normal ability to heal so then the body can be at its very best! Our body is amazing and it has an incredible ability to heal itself. You just need to give it the tools to do so and chiropractic care can be one of these tools.
